Sea Isle City Beach Patrol's lifeguard test for the summer of 2013 will be given Saturday, June eighth and Sunday, June ninth. Those wishing to tryout should report to the main beach house at 44th Street and the Boardwalk between 9:15 am and 9:45 am.
The Saturday morning segment will include a mile boardwalk run and a half-mile ocean swim. The Saturday afternoon portion will consist of a personal interview for applicants who meet beach patrol qualification standards in the run and swim. Those tentatively accepted into the rookie class of 2013 will have a 500 meter pool swim Sunday morning, June ninth.
Note that prospective lifeguards must be at least sixteen years of age on test day. Sixteen and seventeen year old applicants must have their parent or guardian sign the application before being allowed to tryout.
The application can be downloaded, filled out, and mailed to the above Landis Avenue address or brought to beach patrol headquarters. Please note that beach patrol headquarters opens for business on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend.
